Pacify Expands Access to Virtual Lactation and Doula Care via a Web Portal

A new web portal platform expands lactation and doula care for families facing barriers to smartphone access.

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — For more than a decade, Pacify has helped families access trusted virtual lactation support. Today, Pacify is expanding that experience with the launch of a new web portal, giving families another way to access virtual lactation and doula support through a web browser, in addition to the Pacify App.

With the new web portal, families can access Pacify’s trusted virtual care through a web browser, connecting with Pacify’s nationwide network of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) and certified doulas. This expanded access helps remove technology barriers for families who may not have a smartphone, have limited mobile data, or live in areas with unreliable cellular coverage.

“Access to care should never depend on what kind of mobile phone you have or how much data you have left,” said Melanie Silverman, CEO. “By bringing the Pacify experience to web browsers, we are making it even easier for parents to reach our lactation consultants and doulas whenever they need help.”

Direct Access to Lactation Consultants and Doulas

For more than ten years, Pacify has connected parents with lactation consultants for on-demand lactation support, with an average wait time of under five minutes. The new web portal extends that access beyond the mobile app, allowing families to connect from a desktop, laptop, or tablet with an internet connection.

Currently, through the Pacify App or web portal, families can:

  • Connect 24/7 On-Demand: Start an immediate video or audio call with a lactation consultant for feeding support.
  • Schedule Doula and Lactation Visits: Book consultations with lactation consultants and prenatal and postpartum visits with certified doulas.
  • Message Providers: Communicate with their lactation consultant or doulas when quick answers are needed.
  • Access Resources: Explore Pacify’s library of maternal and infant health resources.

Expanding Reach for Health Plans and Public Health Partners

Pacify partners with health plans, state WIC programs, Medicaid agencies, hospitals, employers, and self-pay clients to connect families with virtual maternal health support. Web access provides these organizations with another way to reach families who may face technology or connectivity barriers, while giving eligible users greater flexibility in how they access care.

“A mobile-first approach works for many, but it cannot be the only option,” added Silverman. “Web access allows us to reach more families while keeping our focus right where it belongs: connecting parents with expert lactation consultants and doulas for the care they need and deserve, while driving meaningful engagement and measurable health outcomes for our partners.”
