Today, student entrepreneurs Avi Rao, Hansen Wilson and Holt Wilson announced the launch of MyDaye AI™, a free conversational AI companion for student life that brings the many disconnected parts of a student’s day into one intelligent platform and, for the first time, lets friends see when they are free and make plans together.

Built by students, for students, MyDaye AI is designed for middle school, high school and college students as well as parents and schools. The platform brings together school calendars, learning management systems, assignments, extracurricular activities, athletics, clubs, work schedules, family commitments and even personal interests into one single source of truth.

The experience adapts to where a student is. Middle school students get a simple daily view, gentle reminders and daily check-ins, with an optional parent view so families can see what is coming without taking over. High school students add sports schedules, clubs, rehearsals, college visits and part-time jobs alongside their classes, with a Focus Mode for study sessions. College students scan syllabi across every course, connect learning management system feeds, follow their school’s teams, and coordinate group projects, work shifts and roommates in one place.

The idea for MyDaye AI began with the founders’ own experiences navigating increasingly complex academic, athletic and extracurricular schedules. They know firsthand how much time students spend simply trying to figure out where information lives and how everything fits together.

“We didn’t set out to build another education app. We built an AI companion that understands students because students have information everywhere but no single place that understands how all those things fit together,” said Avi Rao, co-founder, MyDaye AI. “We built the tool we wished we had every day in school.”

The founders describe MyDaye AI as more than a calendar or homework management application. The platform is designed to become an intelligent layer connecting the different commitments that compete for a student’s time. Traditional productivity tools generally treat exams, practices, club meetings, college visits and professional sports games as independent events for a student. MyDaye AI is designed to understand them together.

“I didn’t need another app telling me what was due. I needed an AI buddy that understood everything happening in my life and could help me decide what to do next,” said Holt Wilson, co-founder, MyDaye AI.

Holt envisioned a conversational AI companion that students could interact with naturally through voice or text. Rather than simply listing assignments, MyDaye AI helps break down complex projects, organize and prioritize multiple deadlines, recommend when to start studying, and adjust plans as life changes. The founders believe this represents a fundamental shift from traditional student productivity tools: from managing individual calendars, assignments and reminders to creating an intelligent system that understands the whole student.

Students can upload a syllabus, and MyDaye AI builds a full semester calendar in seconds, pulling out deadlines, exams and assignments automatically. The app connects to Canvas, Blackbaud, Blackboard, Schoology, Moodle and Brightspace, along with Google Calendar, Outlook and team schedules from TeamSnap, GameChanger and SportsEngine, automatically updating as new information comes in. Rather than simply listing what’s due, MyDaye AI helps students figure out when to start an assignment, how to break a large project into steps, and how to fit study time around practices, games, rehearsals and family plans.

The core platform is built around six capabilities: a dashboard, calendar and task list that show the day at a glance; AI Breakdown and an AI Assistant that turn large assignments into manageable steps and help plan the work; courses and syllabus scanning that pull coursework and deadlines into the plan; friends, groups and Find Time for making plans together; calendar connections and schedule imports that bring school, personal and team calendars into one view; and notifications, profile, themes and privacy controls that put the student in charge of reminders and sharing.

MyDaye AI also solves a problem no calendar app has tackled for students: finding time together. Students can add friends and create groups, such as a study group, a team or roommates. Friends see only availability, never private calendar details, unless a student chooses to share more. A student can ask, “When are we all free tonight?” or “Find us 90 minutes before Friday to finish our group project,” and MyDaye AI compares everyone’s schedules and suggests times. Pick one, name the plan, and the event lands on every friend’s MyDaye calendar as soon as they accept. No group chat required.

“Who better to reinvent student life than the students living it? Every feature in MyDaye AI started with a real problem one of us experienced as a student. Now, when I need to find study group or club time with peer students, our MyDaye AI agent swarms our calendars and suggests times when we’re all available,” added Hansen Wilson, co-founder, MyDaye AI.

MyDaye AI is free for students. All student features are free, with no subscription, trial deadline or paid feature unlocks. The founders made that decision deliberately: AI tools can be expensive, and they wanted every student to have access regardless of budget. Students create an account to save their plans, and everything from syllabus scanning and the AI Assistant to friends, groups and shared scheduling is included. The app is live on the Apple App Store and is coming soon on Google Play. Students can sign up directly at https://mydaye.ai.

The founders plan to keep expanding the list of school and family platforms MyDaye AI connects with as more students and schools sign on.
